Frequently Asked Questions

Never. SentryNest records video and sends motion alerts with zero monthly fee. Every feature — video history, PIR alerts, live view — is included in your one-time purchase and stays that way forever. No subscriptions, ever.

Absolutely. The companion app gives you a live view from any smartphone, tablet, or computer — as long as you have an internet connection. You can also replay saved clips and receive real-time alerts wherever you are.

SentryNest keeps recording to your local SD card even when your internet is out. The onboard battery keeps everything running during power failures too. Once your connection comes back, everything syncs automatically — no footage lost.

The included 64GB card holds roughly 3–5 days of continuous recording, or several weeks of motion-triggered clips. Upgrade to a 128GB card and you can store 7–10 days of continuous footage, depending on your resolution setting.

Ring and Arlo charge $100-180/year to unlock person detection. SentryNest's built-in PIR delivers person-level filtering from day one — no subscription needed. You save hundreds per year with fewer false alarms.

Yes — SentryNest is designed for exactly this situation. No drilling, no wiring, nothing that would violate a lease. The magnetic or adhesive mount positions on any surface indoors or out, then removes cleanly when you move.

No hub required. Each SentryNest camera connects independently to your Wi-Fi and the app, so you can run multiple units without any central base station. Add cameras one at a time and manage all from a single app screen — each covering its own zone.

Ring starts cheaper but adds $120-180/year for video history and person detection — costs that reach $600-900 over 5 years. SentryNest covers all those features permanently in one upfront price. Most buyers break even in year one.

Yes. SentryNest is a security camera without subscription that records to a local microSD card, with a 64GB card pre-installed. Live view and motion alerts are handled through the companion app.

The box holds the wireless camera, a pre-installed 64GB microSD card, mounting hardware and screws, a charging cable, and packaging. A solar panel is optional for this no subscription security camera.

SentryNest: A Security Camera Without Subscription for Home

SentryNest is a security camera without subscription fees, built for homeowners and renters who want local recording. Footage is saved to a microSD card. A 64GB card comes pre-installed, and 128GB cards are also supported for larger storage.

The wireless camera connects to Wi-Fi through a companion app that streams live view to a smartphone. A PIR sensor handles motion alerts, and an optional solar panel can supply charging. As a no subscription security camera, it needs no hub, since each unit connects on its own.

Each security camera without subscription mounts with the included hardware and screws, indoors or outdoors. Several units can serve as home security cameras without subscription, each covering its own zone.

  • Local microSD storage
  • Charging cable included
  • Companion app live view
